The Ravens at the Tower of London

Here’s another video by Historic Royal Palaces, about the ravens and why they’re important.

Author: Pamela Tartaglio

For my vacation, I'd like to go to America a hundred years ago. Instead, I visit cool historic places, art museums and read. I share on my blog, Past and Present with Pamela. People who aren't history buffs tell me they enjoy these glimpses into the past. Please come and visit.

  1. I don’t know if all the warders are supposed to be funny, but when we visited ours was hilarious. Even though it’s obviously a tourist attraction, I loved the Tower and would have spent more time there if I could have.

  2. My tourbook said the warders give really entertaining tours. I had no idea they had to be vets and they are really guards, like I wrote about last time.

Like you, I just had a little time, and I’ll go back someday. It seems that it could take most of the day even if you skip all the torture and beheading stuff (which I will. I’ve read enough novels about Anne Boleyn and have had enough of the executions — yech!)
